Haberkorn – Haberkorn Acquires Another Company in Germany

European Distributors of Industrial Supplies - European suppliers

Austria’s biggest technical equipment provider continues its expansion path in Germany and acquires the fourth company in six years.

Following in the footsteps of its previous acquisitions, Sahlberg GmbH (2016), the Mühlberger Group (2019), and Schloemer GmbH (2020), Haberkorn has now purchased another company in Germany. Subject to the approval of the competition authorities, Haberkorn is to take over the Karlsruhe-based technical equipment supplier Schöffler + Wörner with effect from 1 January 2023. With this move, the Haberkorn Group is consistently consolidating its position in Germany and increasing its standing in the European technical equipment supply sector.

Schöffler + Wörner is the leading specialist in personal protection equipment and industrial technology in Baden-Württemberg. Their product portfolio includes PPE, industrial technology, pneumatics, tools, and industrial equipment. In 2021, the company posted sales revenues of 28 million euros with a workforce of 100 employees.

With this acquisition, the Haberkorn Group is completing its market coverage in Germany and expanding the PPE area.

The new company will mean that, in Germany, Haberkorn employs a total of 700 people and achieves sales revenues in the region of 270 million euros. This will make Germany the Haberkorn Group’s second-largest country market.

Schöffler + Wörner GmbH & Co KG will continue to trade as an independent company. Their excellent reputation in the market is to be jointly consolidated. The management team will also remain unchanged, with Schöffler + Wörner’s previous owners and managing directors, Michael and Thomas Wörner, at the helm. From the Haberkorn side, Haberkorn board member Harald Stix will join the company as an additional managing director and act as the link between the German companies and Haberkorn.
