Merck KGaA Germany has used our Epsilon dry coupling for 12 years in batch mode with great satisfaction.
When rebuilding their operation in 2003, the requirement was that all hose lines should be fitted with a dry coupling. Merck tested all the dry couplings that were on the market at that time.
After a one-year test phase, our Epsilon range was chosen. The main reasons behind this decision were the unrestricted opening, the ease of use, simple maintenance and the possibility to connect while pressurized, as well as the high level of security against faulty operation.
In addition, and specially for Merck, a coding of the couplings as well as colour marking of the lever were developed to prevent any mix-ups when coupling different media. In the interim, the couplings are also used when loading wagons and during other operations at Merck with great success.
Success For 25 years:
REIFF Technische Produkte In Saxony
Right after the German reunification, the first subsidiary of REIFF Technische Produkte in eastern Germany was established in January 1991. In the past 25 years, REIFF emerged with the two subsidiaries in Chemnitz and Lipsia as a leading technical supplier in Saxony and Thuringia.
Gerhard Grauer who established the Chemnitz subsidiary looks back: “The biggest challenges were to find a suitable building as well as good staff. Our new colleagues had to internalize the customer orientation which is self-evident today.”
The team mastered a lot since 1991: relocations, changes in the team, extension of the workshop, just to mention a few.
Todays branch manager Bernd Katzschner is content: “We started to educate young people early and have nearly no fluctuation at all. We have increased our technical knowledge and became problem solver and developer for our customers. Technical competence paired with customer focus – that’s what is going to promote us in future!”
