Faced with producing 120 4SP and 6SP hose lines with nominal diameters of 12, 40 and 50, and measuring 10 metres in length each, the Eschborn-based team had a huge project in front of them – not least because all of the material for the hose lines had to be procured from scratch. The hose lines are also reinforced with the SSKV quick-coupling system. Time was tight: in precisely four weeks, the fully assembled hose lines had to be available for the customer. The Eschborn hose installation division is in a perfect position to meet demands like this, thanks to the exceptionally high-performance cutting, stripping and pressing machines at its disposal. The Aeroquip hose lines produced by REIFF Technische Produkte are used in offshore wind turbine construction projects. Using vibration technology, 160 tons of steel pipe measuring more than 50 metres in length are driven into the bed of the North Sea as a means of firmly anchoring the wind turbines.
